Fort Standard Blocks: Not Just For Kids!

May 8th, 2012 in: Obsessions

At first, it seemed as though Fort Standard blocks were for those under the age of 7. Then Park Slope Staffer Drew started getting really creative with the blocks himself, and we were pretty impressed. Actually, our minds were kind of blown.

Created by a duo of designers who go by the name of Fort Standard, whose domestic projects, while utilitarian by nature, are anything but standard. Finished with nontoxic colors, these blocks are safe for the earth and people of all ages.

Fort Standard blocks, $85. Available at all Bird Locations in white and multicolored.

Edith A. Miller has it all!

Designed by Jennifer Murray and Nancy Gibson, Edith A. Miller is produced by one of the few remaining historic American knitting mills, Robert P. Miller. With 6 generations of continuous family operation behind it, Edith A. Miller is produced in the same factory that has been in existence for over 100 years in eastern Pennsylvania. Influenced by the mill’s historic military thermals, the line features a lighter hand and playful styles for women.

Find the spring/summer collection here or at any of our three locations.
