The Great Escape: Shelter Island

When the temperatures reach scorching, I hit the highway and head to Greenport and hop on the North Ferry to Shelter Island.  Nothing makes the city slip away faster than blue water and big sky.  A perfect weekend includes plenty of beach time, max tanning, crabbing for dinner, running a 10k followed by a home cooked Korean feast. Finish it up with a motor boat, a sunny dock and a waterside pool. Shout out to my SI homies: Ria & Whitney, John and Renee & Max!
